The musicians in Shikamoo Jazz bring over 300 years of professional
experience to their rich repertoire of original East African music.
Most of the musicians come from mainland Tanzania and either led,
or performed with, such legendary outfits as Kiko Kids, Western
Jazz, Dar Jazz and Led Wanyika. They are joined by evergreen Kenyan
star Fundi Konde and a contingent from Zanzibar.
Formed in 1993 in Dar Es Salaam, Shikamoo Jazz quickly became the
the top society band in Tanzania, introducing their relaxed Chela
Chela style to a new generation of music lovers.
